x64 scroll not as smooth as x32 TC

Post by *dindog »

I just started using x64 TC 2 days ago. I noticed that x64 TC is not as smooth as x32 when scrolling through a folder.

I don't know how to describe it properly, it's kind of some delay animation of scrolling.

You may want to turn off the "smooth scrolling" misfeature of Windows to make scrolling work better:

To turn it off, right click on "My Computer" and choose "Properties". Click on "Advanced System Settings". Select Advanced -> performance settings ->visual effects. Then select
custom and deactivate 'smooth-scroll list boxes'.

Thanks. It did the trick. Just curious why 32 bit version is not affected.

32bit TC is coded in Delphi. 64bit TC is coded in Lazarus. The two different frameworks behave slightly differently in some areas, meaning 32bit TC is affected by some things that 64bit is not, and vice versa.
