Classic Drag and Drop Option?

Starting with 9.x there has been a change on the drag and drop that it is very much unbearable.

Whenever I click on a file to drag it, if I move the mouse down or up, instead of dragging it starts selecting more files.

Is there a way to get the "classic" d&d option?

go to Options->Operation and disable rubber band selection.

Or start the drag on the file NAME or a selected line.

Or switch to right-button selection mode that wasn't changed at all.
