This is not a valid plugin!

You can find valid plugin files on www.ghisler.com under section 'addons'.

OK

Tried the plugin. Under Windows XP SP2.

Running with administrator rights there are usually still a few files like: "c:\Documents and Settings\LocalService\NTUSER.DAT" and "c:\Documents and Settings\LocalService\Lokale indstillinger\Application Data\Microsoft\Windows\UsrClass.dat" along with c:\WINDOWS\system32\config\*.LOG that are not accessible, but the plugin shows all 3 permission as "yes" for these files.

Danish translaton:
Code:
[dan]
Read=Læs
Write=Skriv
Execute=Udfør
no|yes|n/a=nej|ja|n/a

descriptionDAN=Permissions kan bruges til at finde ud af om den øjeblikkelige bruger har tilladelse til at læse, skrive eller udføre den enkelte fil eller mappe.

Can you post meaningful screenshots of the Windows security dialogs. I guess otherwise I can't analyse the problem.

I would be happy to - but you must explain how to open these dialogs. (Note, that I am using XP HOME on a FAT partition).

You cannot access these file because they are in use not because of security attributes. I will add a note to the system requirements that a WIN NT system is not enough but also NTFS.
I'm a bit surprised that you have tried this plug-in on a FAT volume Shocked

But access rights can be assigned at system level too. For example if you access files through network sharing.

Smile Hello Christian !

• Below, the small French LNG section :
Quote:
[fra]
Read=Lire
Write=Écrire
Execute=Exécuter
no|yes|n/a=non|oui|ind.

Note : “ind.” stands for “indisponible” (unavailable), hoping it's right ?

• We'll see for the French doc. a.s.a.p. Wink

My plug-in just handles NTFS file security properties but not security properties of shares of other file system objects.

Maybe this will be a stupid question but you mean:
- it handles files on a network drive
- it handles folders on a network drive
- it does not handle the sec-prop of the whole share for itself

???

I tried to use the plugin with "Wdx Info Packer", and there I can select for each property (read / write / execute) all three possibilities (yes / no / n/a), and if I use the definition
Code:
@Mod=Read.no@Permissions.wdx;@Mod=Read.yes@Permissions.wdx

on a file where I have all permissions, I get the answer: yesyes

yes for read-no and yes for read-yes?

Best regards

Peter
