Hello Thomas
I tried
- a TIF (T6 / Group 4 Fax; 400 DPI, 1 Bit black-white)
- change attributes in TC
- Plugin: "jpg-comment"; Property: "Überschrift" (Title?); Value: "hallo"
- and got an error message:
| Quote: | | "Fehler beim Setzen des folgenden Attributs: Überschrift" |
When I use a JPG (foto) I have no problems.
Can you help me?

Strange, you tried to set a JPG-comment on a TIF file ? _________________ #5767 Personal license |

I thought it is an IPTC entry. Or is it not?

2tbeu: I tried version 2.1.3.0
Thanks a lot for the very useful enhancement !
I had corrected a date/time offset of files with AddTime Addon and can write this back to the EXIF data now.
It works in common, but still fails a little bit:
Using "jpg-comment.Date Time Original" := [=tc.writedate] will set Date/Time with an offset of -2 hours
(e.g. tc.writedate=17.09.2008 13:30 ... sets ... jpg-comment.Date Time Original=17.09.2008 11:30)
Note: My timezone is Germany (GMT+1 + DST = GMT+2) if this matters ... _________________ #5767 Personal license |

Can you please check if http://tbeu.de/jpg_comment/jpg-comment.wdx fixes the problem! _________________ My plugins: Autodesk 3ds Max Preview, Blat Mailer, ImageMetaData (JPG Comment/EXIF/IPTC/XMP) , MATLAB MAT-file Viewer, SolidWorks Preview and more |

Yes, this version fixes the offset problem, thanks a lot !
I did some more tests and found that leading zeros are missing.
e.g. 16.09.2008 09:03:17 is saved as 2008:9:16 9:3:17 but should be 2008:09:16 09:03:17
A minor one only, but nasty ... _________________ #5767 Personal license |

Please redownload http://tbeu.de/jpg_comment/jpg-comment.wdx and test again. The leading zeros problem for fields of ft_datetime should be fixed now. _________________ My plugins: Autodesk 3ds Max Preview, Blat Mailer, ImageMetaData (JPG Comment/EXIF/IPTC/XMP) , MATLAB MAT-file Viewer, SolidWorks Preview and more |

I finally managed to build the plugin using latest Exiv2 0.18-pre2 library. For testing the plugin can be downloaded at http://tbeu.de/jpg_comment/jpg-comment.wdx. _________________ My plugins: Autodesk 3ds Max Preview, Blat Mailer, ImageMetaData (JPG Comment/EXIF/IPTC/XMP) , MATLAB MAT-file Viewer, SolidWorks Preview and more |

Great! Thank you very much for the update, tbeu
And: No, I did not forget about this... I'm still looking for corresponding Exiv2 expressions for the rest of the tags on my wish list |

At first instance, thanks for work on this plugin. Let me a suggestion:
Could be added the option for change the Exif orientation in attributes dialog? _________________ I can read English, but... I write like Tarzan. (sorry) |

Is a multiple choice field allowing values from 1 to 8 alright for you? _________________ My plugins: Autodesk 3ds Max Preview, Blat Mailer, ImageMetaData (JPG Comment/EXIF/IPTC/XMP) , MATLAB MAT-file Viewer, SolidWorks Preview and more |
