The simple answer is that they're written in Delphi We've tried to keep their size down by compressing them with UPX, but that only matters when they're installed on your hard disk, it doesn't affect download size very much.

We could use several alternative ways to reduce the size of our programs, but this would mean a major increase in labour to build and maintain them - this is because most major libraries&tools won't work with these systems, and we'll have to modify them heavily to make them.

We also think that the size of a program is less and less a cause for concern. With todays disks of tens of gigabytes a few megabytes doesn't matter very much. And seeing as people are getting faster and faster Internet connections using DSL or other broadband technology, the download sizes matter less and less.

But if many users use several of our plugins, we could probably provide you with an 'all-in-one' install that'd be much smaller than the combined size of all the individual plugins. But then you'll have to ask for it

I think that the exact opposite is true, especially BECAUSE the harddisks are getting bigger and bigger and developers tend to lose their skills size is more important than ever before.
The smaller the apps the better the programming skill the fewer the bugs and the more fun.

Just compare your plugin ieweblister with ieview, it's 10 times bigger and has only 10 percent of its features. Even if features would be equal it's pretty obvious which plugin people would choose, don't you think so?

Btw, it still doesn't accept pressing '4' to switch to another plugin. I already mentioned that in your 1.01 announcement without any reaction from your side. Aren't you interested in bug reports? Especially when new plugins are out you should take the time and respond.

Your plugins are great, but not YET great enough.

All the plugins are very buggy The versions are to be 0.1a not 1.0
