Is TC 8.0 so far in its development, that you think it is time to compile a totalcmd.HLP file for this version _________________ #524

Hello, petermad.
The new development environment for 64-bit Total Commander (Lazarus) seems to break a thousand little things, which is why we are at beta 20 right now and ain't got no idea how many more betas will be needed to arrive at a stable release for 32-bit and 64-bit. This is why I am a bit unsecure whether we should really spend a single thought on a helpfile in the superseded .hlp file format.
Personally I don't, though my favourite OS environments (see my signature if you are unsure what they might be) are not really good at handling .chm helpfiles.
Kind regards,

The CHM file should work on all supported Windows versions since Windows 95, if you install a recent version of Internet Explorer. There should be no need to use a HLP file any more. I will offer one for download with the final release of TC8, though. _________________ Author of Total Commander

Hlp files don't work on Vista/Windows7/Windows8 (e.g. KB917607 needed for Win7): Could you please provide us a chm or pdf file format?
Many thanks. |

You can unzip the installation package, unzip INSTALL.CAB and then you can find the chm file. _________________ #16626 Personal licence |
