TC main menu appears in system context menu

Post by *Rodny »

When using software ABBYY PDF Transformer, its item from the context menu on files is replaced by a fragment of the main menu of Total Commander.
Tested with PDF Transformer v.2.0, here is direct link on trial version, 52 Mb.
Actual version of PDF Transformer is 3.0, I am downloading a trial version, but it will not be very soon.

Screenshots: Explorer, TC with russian lang, TC with english lang, TC with deutsch lang:

Number of items in the menu does not change and their functionality remains, by clicking on each of the items gets what should.

Have tried to turn off / turn on this menu using ShellExView - no change.

Bug NOT exist in TC 7.55 public beta 3 and exist in 7.55 RC1 - 7.55 final.
OS WinXP SP3 x86
Upd.1: the same on Win7 x86

Found on some russian forum, confirmed by two (including me).

Please complain to ABBYY about this bug. It looks like they install a context menu extension which tries to get items from the Explorer main menu. This will of course give unpredictable results when the menu is opened from some other program (like Total Commander).

Total Commander itself doesn't try to use any menu items from its main menu there.

Mal angenommen, du drückst Strg+F, wählst die FTP-Verbindung (mit gespeichertem Passwort), klickst aber nicht auf Verbinden, sondern fällst tot um.

Thanks for response.

I have checked PDF Transformer v.3.0 now, it's OK. So I don't think that ABBYY be interested in the problem with an outdated version :(
Nevertheless, I will try to inform the ABBYY.

It remains unclear just why such issue exists only since TC 7.55 RC1.
