It is cool to have the features you requested, but I am afraid that I don't have time for those features. Sorry.

Currently, my system is XP 32bits, I can not test x64. I have planed to buy a new laptop next year, at that time, I should using TC x64 version, and x64 7zip plugin too ;)
For now, I may try to build a x64 version, but you have to wait, since I'm busy these days, and hope I have time for this in next month.

dllee, you may install 64-bit Windows onto virtual machine if your processor supports 64-bit virtualization.

I have ported the 7zip plugin to 64-bit now. This isn't about the Total7zip plugin, there doesn't seem to be source code available for the latter.

Download the plugin:
http://ghisler.fileburst.com/beta/wcx_7zip_0.7.6.5a.bin.zip

The source:
http://ghisler.fileburst.com/beta/wcx_7zip_0.7.6.5a.src.7z

Only minor changes were needed (about 5). I had to remove the compile option _USE_32BIT_TIME_T to compile the plugin. It seems to work OK according to my tests, but please be careful.

I checked the source and changes are exactly the same as I made, when I tried to compile it for x64. But my plugin was crashing very often. But come to think of it, it was only with older TC betas, I don't remember any crash lately.

I tried with provided binary and it also crashes with beta 1-3 while packing. Since beta 4 it works fine. Nice to know it wasn't my fault. :)

This is the missing wcxtest (updated to x64) as part of the 7Zip plugin sources (wcx_7zip_0.7.6.5a.src.7z).

You should have mentioned earlier that you were trying to get it working and that you were in struggle.
TC plugins: Autodesk 3ds Max / Inventor / Revit Preview, FileInDir, ImageMetaData (JPG Comment/EXIF/IPTC/XMP), MATLAB MAT-file Viewer, Mover, SetFolderDate, Solid Edge Preview, Zip2Zero and more

@tbeu: It wasn't exactly struggle. I just compiled the plugin (it needed only few pretty obvious changes, so it was quick) and when it was crashing often, I soon left it and planned to get to it later if nobody else does. I assumed there was some hidden incompatibility that would require more effort to find and I wanted to find some at least a little useful info to share.

But at least we could have saved busy Mr Ghisler from some extra work.

Hello, Christian.
ghisler(Author) wrote:I have ported the 7zip plugin to 64-bit now.
Thanks a lot for taking the time to do so.
A 64-bit version of the 7zip plugin was one of the plugins which I definitely missed most on Total Commander 64-bit, because I "synchronize directories" all the time: foldertree => .7z archive and .7z archive => foldertree.
So far the 64-bit plugin v0.7.6.5a seems to do its job just fine.

Kind regards,
Karl

Could you include my changes into the plugin, recompile it, and put it on totalcmd.net, please? You can still get the reward this way, which is mainly for maintaining the plugin as a whole.

Thanks for the update :D
I've put your updated version to totalcmd.net
http://www.totalcmd.net/plugring/7zip_plugin.html

And about "Synchronize directories" to two .7z files or one .7z file to another zip file or directory, is it possible to compare by content? or does the WCX plugin interface need to enhance to let it possible?

I do hope 7z works like TC build in zip, or TC can build in 7z functions, that will be great :D
