I have newly installed Total Commander. This looks like wonderful substitute for Windows Explorer. I have been able to customize almost everything in Options menu. But I am not able to set settings in respect of the following:
1. If possible I would like to preset Left/Right directories to my choice.
2. If possible I would like to set buttons on top right of both directories listings by which I can go (up level/root of drive)
Thanks in advance. |

1.
a) Open directories on both windows of TC.
b) Restart TC.
c) Go to (Menu): Configuration - Options - Operation - Save on exit
d) Untick "Directories"
e) Press OK.
2. (Menu): Configuration - Options - Layout
Tick: "Show drive buttons" and "Show two drive buttons bar"
Press OK. |

| Garl has offered a simplified solution for beginners, but MVV's solution is elegant, and possibly for more advanced users, allowing them multiple options. |

You are bang right sorcar because the way I did before it worked but had holes. Then I tried that more advanced way, which is foolproof also easier.
Unless you had posted this topic I would never care to do it the second way.
Thanks. |
