As I know, up/down keys act like left/right while renaming file.
But in TC 8.01 RC1 x64 after 4...6th klicks on up/down key rename field looses focus. Seems like bug, because x32 works fine without this issue.

Repsoduce:
1. Start TC 8.01 RC1 x64 and fild any file you like;
2. Shift+F6 (or RMB->"Rename");
3. (not necessary) Write something;
4. Push "Up" or "Down" arrow keys;
5. Rename field is lost without any changes and cursor walks away.

Actually I can confirm the problem. But I've got some other side effects like the check mark button still stays visible after the rename field is lost. Actually the up and down button works, but you can only press it one! After the second key press the rename is canceled and this is what it looks like after that: http://i.imgur.com/Ng2SL.png

So yeah, the cursor will move but only once, because the after that it glitches up.

Yes, MaxX's found another way of triggering this bug. Smile

That's a bug, not a feature, anyway!

Sorry, up+down arrows aren't currently handled by the 64-bit version, so Windows tries to jump to the next control. I will try to fix it.

So, some more info about this.
After pressing Up/Down keys, the right-aligned button (for confirmation of renaming) does not disappear untill I open another dir on the tab.
x32 is still fine, no bug.

The bug is only fixed partially. Up and down arrows work now, but unfortunately if you use the left and right arrows another issue pops up.

If the cursor reaches the beginning or end of the file/folder name and you press the left/right button or hold it the rename field is lost again! This doesn't happen in the 32bit version, only in the 64bit one.

Apart from this it works now, and the rename confirmation check mark button doesn't stay onscreen.

Looks like only left/right.
Up/Down works good (no bug now).
x32 still works good (no bug).
Tested: TC 8.01 RC2 @ Win7 x64.

I can confirm that the bug has been fixed in the latest version of Total Commander 64bit edition (8.01RC3). Both up/down left/right buttons are working correctly just like in the 32bit version. No more unintentional behaviors.
