[BUG] New folders with trailing whitespace

Post by *incognita »

I can't create new folders in ext-card with a whitespace at the end of the folder name, I can do it in sdcard and system. Tested on a Sony Xperia Z with 4.3 and 4.4 using TC version 2.04. In 4.4 I'm root and I have the patch that allow you to write in ext-card like in 4.3.
I have no problem with others apps.

Am I the only one who happen this?

Regards.

What a strange idea.
No program should support creating spaces at the end of file or folder names.
There is no real need for such constructs.

Yes I know that ha ha ha I think I haven't explained myself well, sorry.
I don't want create folders with spaces at the end, I want that when you create folders with spaces at the end the app shows and error message or like Total Commander in Windows creates the folder but without the spaces at the end, because when you are in the phone you probably use a predictive keyboard and a lot of this keyboard automatic adds a space at the end and if you don't see that or you don't know that you can't create folders with spaces at the end you can't imagine why the folder isn't create.
The most strange thing is that the "not create folder" issue only happens in ext-card, in system or sdcard0 it does like Total Commander in Windows or other apps like "ES file explorer file manager", creating the folder without spaces.

Regards.
Sorry for my poor English.
