TC started from UNC / Appcrash (Win 2012)

The behaviour described in the bug report is either by design, or would be far too complex/time-consuming to be changed

TC started from UNC / Appcrash (Win 2012)

Post by *tiny »

Hi,

I'm useing Totalcommander 8.51a x64 started from UNC share which works well with Windows 7 or 8. But with Windows Server 2012 the application crashed every time I try to use preview (F3) or quick preview (Strg+Q).

Any ideas?

Is there any message box about the crash?
Which kind of file do you view?

Probably a plugin causes the crash. You may disable some plugins to find the culprit.

Do you also get a crash when you press Alt+Shift+F3? This opens lister without plugins.

Yes, there is an error message:

Problem signature:
Problem Event Name: BEX64
Application Name: TOTALCMD64.EXE
Application Version: 8.5.1.1
Exception Offset: PCH_7A_FROM_Imagine_50000000+0x000000000015387B

The file to view is an simple txt file.

Open the viewer with Alt+Shift+F3 is working without crash.

I've disabled imagine plugin, now it works as expected.
