have the feature to copy file selections without extension

Post by *Michael REMY »

hi,

in the selection menu, you offer the possibility to have in clipboard the list of selected files.
but i always need to remove the extension and you didn't offer this simple feature.

i always have to paste into a fiel editor and search&replace by nothing the extension part to clean it.

easy do coding, so i hope it will be in next TC release

Bye

Mike
i'm an old long user of TC since the windows 3.11 release !, for the history, i came to tc when i migrate from amiga commodore to PC where they are diskmanager and directory opus there.

Mal angenommen, du drückst Strg+F, wählst die FTP-Verbindung (mit gespeichertem Passwort), klickst aber nicht auf Verbinden, sondern fällst tot um.

i read, and like it said :
Thanks for your tips! But they need intricated procedures or additional software. They're complex compared to a simple, native 'cm_CopyFilenameToClip' command I suggested Smile

Michael REMY,
Well, you can have a solution that requires half an hour of downloading and configuring now, or you can wait for the feature to be implemented in TC in two years. I only gave you some options and wish you good luck whichever path you choose.
