TC Android 2.50 - Bug: Delete operation stops music playback

Post by *juraj »

I have noticed a bug in Total Commander 2.50 for Android.
I haven't found anything similar in Google, so I suppose it's not reported yet.

Whenever I have a music player playing music in background and I delete some files, as soon as the operation is complete, the music playback stops. It happens at least with MortPlayer and native Android Music player.

Do you have notifications enabled when an operartion is done? Some music players stop when there is a notification. This is configurated in TC configuration - Sounds/Music.

Thanks for reply.

No, I have notifications disabled.
But I tried some little testing, and I noticed that it's only happening when deleting folders.
I also tried deleting files and copying folders to narrow down the problem, and neither of them stopped the player.

1. Are these folders in internal memory, or external SD-Card?
2. Which Android version?

OK, thanks, I will check it in a debugger. I guess that it happens because TC asks Android to update the media database.

One last question: Does this also happen when you use the built-in media player of Total Commander? If not, which player are you using?

No, TC player hasn't stopped.
I'm using MortPlayer, and it happened with native Android player in the past.

Unfortunately it doesn't happen here, I tried with MortPlayer on Android 4.2 and 4.4 with the external SD-card delete functions. I couldn't use the stock Android player because when I play a track, it opens in a popup, and closing it stops the music immediately.
