Prebuffering next track for audio player

Post by *fureimu »

Hello!
I apologize in advance for my bad English.

I use to listen music via wireless/3G/4G connection. I usually use webdav plugin to connect to my cloud because I cannot fit all my music into phone.
As for me, thats pretty convinient and works fine, but there is always a big delay between tracks (form 3 to 10 seconds, sometimes) because of cellular operator (or maybe remote server is slow, not sure). So it take some time to start payback but than all track is downloaded quickly so its not a problem of little bandwidth.

Is that possible to prebuffer next track while current is still playing?

I understand that total commander isnt really a music player, but as long as it can play both music and videos I think I may suggest this feature.

Thank you for paying attention and for such great app :)

I have indeed thought about that too, e.g. 10 seconds before a track ends. But I haven't found a good solution yet which works in all cases - for example, the user may pause the playback just in these last 10 seconds, then the pre-buffered connection may just time out. If I find a good solution, I will add it to the program.
