New Toshiba FlashAir SD Card Plugin apk

Post by *FearlessSpiff »

Hi

I finished a plugin for the Toshiba FlashAir SD Card. It is in beta state. Please feel free to test and give feedback.

#Features
* Read files on FlashAir card
* Copy files (Download)

#Not working because of ugly interface by Toshiba
* Deleting, Renaming, Moving, Uploading files
-> See crippled interface at https://flashair-developers.com/en/documents/api/

#Caveats
* If the root folder is empty, you most probably aren't correctly connected to the FlashAir card.
Check if the official App or the browser at http://flashair is working.
If this doesn't work TotalFlashAir cannot work too.

Download 0.1.0- beta1: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/20922583/TotalFlashAir/0.1.0-beta1/TotalFlashAir.apk

Sounds like a nice idea! I don't have a Flashair, but can't you use upload.cgi to upload, rename, or delete files?

I could but it is just too cumbersome. You have to edit a config file, then restart the card by powering off/on the camera, then send some other stuff and finally the files.

I tried to do it by hand, but the restarting just breaks any usability. The restarting also breaks the Wifi connection. So depending on your Wifi config it could be that you have to reconnect through Wifi settings and switch between this and TC. It's not something I want to do when uploading or deleting files.

I see - the camera probably uses its own cache, so it doesn't see changes made from the outside without restarting...

Exactly! Sorry for being so late, but I just made tests for this. So after deleting a file you still see it in the camera but with an error displayed.
I have a new problem, maybe you know a way around: I now use Snapseed for editing my pictures and when I edit them after downloading them with the plugin they get a generic file name like snapseed-XX.jpeg. When I download them through the official wifi of the camera with the official app i dont get this. Then I get ORIGINALFILENAME-XX.jpeg. I have no idea why. I even compared the binary files. They are exactly the same. Any ideas?

I also asked already at Snapseed forum: https://productforums.google.com/forum/?utm_medium=email&utm_source=footer#!msg/snapseed/WypK5owRe2s/dURw29gTGAAJ

Thanks!
