[TC9-RC2] - TCMADM64.EXE eating CPU

Post by *nick58 »

Hi.

I have found, that sometimes TCMADM64.EXE process take ~ 10% CPU when total commandeer is idle itself.
Only TC restart helps to resolve this problem.

I am using TC9-RC2 x64 under Windows 10.1 x 64.

Strange, I have never seen this. Could you give me more information, e.g. what did you do in admin mode when this happened?

Hi.

So, I can't reproduce this behavior.
I don't performing any actions in TC, it just running in the background, but eating CPU.
I made process explorer screenshot:

TCMADM64.EXE is only started when you perform an operation requiring administrator rights, e.g. copy to c:\Windows and then click on "As adminiatrator" and confirming the user account dialog. Then the program will remain idle in the background to handle further commands.

Yes, I know.
The issue is - when programm is idle and don't performig any operations - it still use 20% of CPU.

This overheat notebook and currently only TC restart helps.

Also, before RC-1 I didn't saw this behavior.

Note that, in the screenshot, it's NOT TCMADM64.exe but TOTALCMD64.exe. So it's not the admin tool but TC itself.

Mal angenommen, du drückst Strg+F, wählst die FTP-Verbindung (mit gespeichertem Passwort), klickst aber nicht auf Verbinden, sondern fällst tot um.

Does anyone still have this problem? It should be gone since RC5, but I didn't get any feedback so far...
