TCmenu: does not work after Win 10 anerversary update 1607

Post by *huk49 »

I use TCmenu mainly to display directories, i.e. most entries submit a command like cd c:\.... . This does not work after installing the mentioned win 10 aniversary update 1607. I found nothing in several forums. I also tried running TCmenu in compatibility mode (win 8).
TC: v9.0B13, TCmenu: v20B16 (v19 did not work either)
Any help is highly appreciated.

TCmenu was one of my most favorite addon at the time.
But why are you still keep using it by now?
TC itself already includes all the TCmenu functionality right out of the box and in native and much more simpler way.

P.S. Also the latest version I have archived is TCmenu 20b17 (2009-10-01).

As said, you can in standard define a drop-down menu from a bar. It is called sub-bar.
When you define a button:
For the command, you set your bar file location
and then you tick [x] show as Menu.

Hi beb and nsp
Thanks for your responses and please excuse my delay in answering.
I have changed my environment to sub-bars, which work fine. I see no need for TCmenu anymore, except maybe for the fancy colors. What counts is the functionality and that can be perfectly achieved with the sub-bars.
Thanks again, huk49
