.zip extension in capital letters

Post by *-donald- »

If I pack one file in a zip, the extension will be ".zip", if I pack two or more files the extension will be ".ZIP" (in capital letters).
Is this a bug or a feature?

It depends on the base name. If you pack one file, e.g. filename.txt, the base name will be "filename". Since it's not all uppercase, TC will ise lowercase .zip.

If you pack multiple files, TC uses the parent directory as the base name, e.g. "parent" -> parent.zip. If the parent directory is all uppercase, TC will append uppercase .ZIP, e.g. PARENT.ZIP.

Mal angenommen, du drückst Strg+F, wählst die FTP-Verbindung (mit gespeichertem Passwort), klickst aber nicht auf Verbinden, sondern fällst tot um.
