Exclmation mark

Post by *Cobras »

When I opened a flash drive this morning, red exclamation mark was shown in all folder icons including files. I wonder what caused this problem. I also noticed that each folder has its own "lnk" files. These lnk files are new. I assumed that lnk and exclamation mark are related. Advise me how to get rid of the exclamation mark.

One more note: When flash drive was opened with File Explorer, there was no exclamation mark. All folders look normal but Total Commander (9.0a) reveal exclamation mark.

Try "Configuration" -> "Options..." -> "Icons" -> "Show '!' on hidden/system"

Thanks.
That cleared the exclamation mark. Could you please elaborate how come all of folders and files in a flash drive turned into hidden folders and files? I wish to avoid this annoying problems in future.

All your folders and files on that drive must for some reason be marked as hidden of system or both.
