Total Commander doesn't recognize new extension icon associa

I changed the icons for the .zip and .rar file extensions but the new icons do not appear in Total Commander, it still shows the old icons. They appear in Windows Explorer and Free Commander but not in Total Commander. Why is that?

This happens because double clicking such a file doesn't open the associated programs - they are opened internally in Total Commander.

Yes, but i didn't change the associated programs, only the icons. Because the .rar and .zip files have the same icon and i want to distinguish them.
