Go to file location in search results in pane

Post by *WarStrategist »

Hi, if you feed search results to a pane....

To go to a file's folder location you can use ctrl - arrow to see the result location in the opposite pane

However, I want to go to the file location in the current pane, not the opposite pane. So what would be the keyboard shortcut for this?

Example: file.abc is in the left pane as a search result that has been fed to it. I want to go to file.abc folder location in the left pane. Not the right pane with "ctrl-right arrow"

Ctrl+Up. Note that TC doesn't set the cursor on the file in the new tab, so it might not be what you want.

Mal angenommen, du drückst Strg+F, wählst die FTP-Verbindung (mit gespeichertem Passwort), klickst aber nicht auf Verbinden, sondern fällst tot um.

Try it from Searh results - it does what OP asks for, just as it does if you are in Branch View and press Ctrl+B (again) - then TC also goes to file under cursor.

So for clarification - Ctrl+B in Search results does NOT put you in Branch View - it goes to file under cursor.

Nice feature! Somehow I missed that. But I don't use TC 9.x yet anyway (I need time to take a closer look at program updates and make them fit for productive use).
