Calculating dir size ignored when CopyLinks=1

The behaviour described in the bug report is either by design, or would be far too complex/time-consuming to be changed

Calculating dir size ignored when CopyLinks=1

Post by *petermad »

I don't know if this is intentional, but if I set CopyLinks=1 (or 2), then dir size for certain <LNK> dirs like c:\users\all users is not calculated.

I can understand that this is the case if IgnoreLinks=1, but just because I calculate the dir size (by for example pressing Shift+Alt+Enter) doesn't imply that I am going to copy anything, so I don't think CopyLinks=1 should affect a manual dir calculation - it should only affect the calculation that is done when a copy process is started.

Yes, it's intentional: Calculating space needed is meant to show the space needed when copying the folder - and when you copy just the link, it takes (almost) no additional space.
