Office 365/SharePoint support

Post by *neosk »

Hi,

I've noticed a strange thing. We use TCMD in our office and we started migrating towards Office 365. While opening files from Total Commander (.docx/.xlsx etc), the respective applications do not seem to realize that the file was opened from a "shared" location and thus do not support the required featers, like for example collaboration.
As long as the same file in that same location is opened via Windows Explorer, the file gets opened along with support for collaboration.

Any idea how to solve it? I know Windows Explorer uses a bit of an always-evolving mechanism for opening files. Might there be some kind of plugin which would support this?

Try this button to open the documents to see if it makes a difference:

Code: Select all

TOTALCMD#BAR#DATA
explorer.exe
%P%N
explorer.exe,1
Open file via Windows Explorer

0
-1
To make the button:
1. Mark the green text above (including TOTALCMD#BAR#DATA in the first line and -1 in the last line).
2. Copy it to the ClipBoard (Ctri+C).
3. Right click on TC's buttonbar and choose "Paste".

Are you perhaps running Total Commander with higher user rights (as administrator)? Office doesn't like that.
