Multi-part RAR archives only shows content in first file

Post by *TCF »

Multi-part RAR archives only shows content in first file in TC.

I have split some video files into 100mb parts with WinRAR (version 5.5), and when i open the first one myvideo.part01.rar in T.C. (version 9.12) it shows the content correctly like this: myvideo.mkv, but all the subsequently RAR files shows no content.

The files are ok, and unpacks fine with WinRAR.

I remember that this used to work in previous versions of TC, is this a bug or am i missing something?

Hi Roman

I can see that bug was fixed a long time ago, so i don't know why i get a similar error in version 9.12.

We are talking about a WinRAR update, not the TC version.
With my WinRAR 5.60 beta3 and TC 9.12 there is no such problem
with multi-volume RAR5 archives.

TCF,
Only show files which start in that volume!
This is not the bug itself, this is the solution. That means since 16.4.2002 TC shows only those files which start in the opened volume.

Which is the same as WinRAR itself shows in this case !
So there is no error and all is fine :D

Horst.Epp,
Well, yes.
OTOH you can choose WinRAR's behavior using the "Merge volume contents" option in WinRAR.
