Torrent Lister Plugin: Now v1.3 - + Source
Hi all,
Today is a great day:
1) It's my Birthday...but that's not important
2) I've just finished my first plugin (written in C) :a wlx to read metainfo of a torrent file
-> Available in French or English
-> Size of the package : 14.3 ko
Download
Any comment appreciate...

First of all: Best Wishes
Second: It's better to make one .wlx file with separate language files instead of different language versions .wlx files.
Third: Why in English version I have "Size: 2 Mo" - it should be 2 MB (similar for Ko)
Next: It's a pity I can't use "Copy" option to copy the info to clipboard.
Anyway, thanks for a new plugin.

Possible bug
Thanks a lot for the torrent lister plugin. I'd like to report what's probably a bug: after viewing a torrent file and closing the lister, the file remains locked and cannot be deleted or moved until TC is closed entirely.
Best regards,
.marek

Some notes for new version:
- Scrollbars should appear if the files is big (long).
- If the file is big it takes a long time to view it and it seems that TC freezes.
- There is probably something wrong with paths to lang files. Changing langs seems to work only if I have Torrent plugin folder in the second panel

For points 1 & 3-> i'll try to correct this asap but I'm a beginner in Pascal (I switch to this language because I find good unit in The Internet for the plugin purpose...). I'll start a new topic asking for help to improve it ....
For point 2 :
When the plugin is reading the torrent file, it is decoding the hash contain in the file and many other info (peer id, byte downloaded,....) that I do not show . The speed of decoding process depends on the cpu speed...
Is the file "in use" when reading it ?
Edit: Do you need others features about bittorent files (creating, converting) ?

I work on Athlon 1.1, 512MB RAM, WinXP SP2 - the .torrent file is 45,9 KB and it's not "in use".franck8244 wrote:For point 2 :

It's Strange ....
Could you test it with This File
I modified the file so it won't work with a p2p app ....
->File is 62 ko, contains 113 files, total size is 1.5GB
I'm working on Athlon Xp 2100+, 1GB ram ..
I do not notice any slow down->file are displayed in half a second (or less)....
I've already corrected a bug in file (& total) size display...but not updated it yet
