Once in a while I still have a frozen TotalCommander.
This occurs for example when I am accessing a network location that is either (very) slow or no longer accessible. The only solution I have now is to close Total Commander using the task manager.
What I propose is to show a message in the panel like:
Trying to access \\Network location\share
Below that could be an abort/cancel button.
Ideally I would in this case still be able to navigate the network with the other panel or even other tabs of that same panel (visiting not so slow locations).
I know that the current version is already a great improvement over older versions with background copying/renaming/deleting, but this is a remaining annoyance that I still have from time to time.
Thanks in advance,
The Shrike

Take a look at this thread, a bitt long, but there is quite a bitt of discussion why TC hangs on network...

Ambiguity succeeds where honesty dares not venture.
I work a lot with remote share drives and this is very very annoying.
I don't know if Mr. Ghisler has already gave up from solving this problem, but it should make all the eforts to solve it. Otherwise we will have TC 10.0 still with this problem..... It is not acceptable that a product with the quality of TC with 10 years of existence still have this problem.
