If it's not recognized it's probably too old. Anyway, there's nothing you can do.

Hi and wellcome gvzfs!
Who knows what hardware and what operating system you use?
Very important is: Does Explorer recognize your CD (DVD?) Burner?
-and if there is another Burning-program installed, does it work proper?

I have used the searchfunction of that forum a little bit:
How do I activat "CD-Ripper 1.6.1"
TCBurner 0.9.3 ready for download
You will find more info about not supported hardware or please post into that thread.

Very often the ASPI-layer of your system gets corrupted by other installations,
lets say another Burnprogram install its own or a Win~update may install a new copy-protection feature.
To check out your ASPI-version please download: Adaptect aspichk.exe (240 KB), Google for that please.
This tiny program runs also from CD (This tip isn't usefull for you now) and maybe from a USB-Stick too.
It will show this message: "ASPI is properly installed and fully operational".
If not, you need to re-install the ASPI driver, depending on what HW and OS you use.
Here is a good german Site: Brennmeister.com with some download links.
I hope I could help and you don't have to trash your CD burner-drive :).

Kind regards
