Mapping a drive letter to the server root?

I know it's not a TC function per se, but it is possible to map a drive letter to the root of a network PC? All I can do using Net > Network Connections is map a drive letter to a folder IN the root, not to the root itself.

I tend to just type it in the command line bar

net use x: \\pcname\c$

the $ is for hidden shares and c$ d$ etc is mainly a default share for admin usage
