Hi,
log wrote:Consider using PASV
That mean you should consider using passive mode for transfers which can be checked in the connection settings.

Mal angenommen, du drückst Strg+F, wählst die FTP-Verbindung (mit gespeichertem Passwort), klickst aber nicht auf Verbinden, sondern fällst tot um.

I guess he hasn't activated passive mode successfully. Maybe he set passive mode as default but the connection is still set to active mode.

That's probably right because I see here after each CWD command a PASV command (when I'm on passiv mode) what is missed im the quoted log.

Well, the log is from active mode. ;)

Ok guys I set passive mode as default in options FTP connection? Is that correct cause it still hangs? What am I doing wrong? Never had to do this with TC.....been using it forever since 3.0 days or before and never had a problem.

whiskey3,
How do you connect to an FTP server? By pressing Ctrl-N or Ctrl-F?

If Ctrl-N, you have to set "Use passive mode by default" in Configuration - Options - FTP.
If Ctrl-F you have to edit the connection's properties and tick "Use passive mode for transfers".

Yes as I said earlier I already tried setting passive mode in options and TC still hangs on this server whether I use it or not. I connect with no key commands. I just click on FTP then select my servers and connect that way.

Ok I gotcha I can set passive mode for each FTP client. I'll try that and get back with you and see if it hangs again.....

Thanks.

Still locks up with my firewall turned off and antivirus turned off. It might be a firewall issue on their end? Or I'm guessing a time-out issue on the server?
