From version to version I observe bug like this:
Image: http://img317.imageshack.us/img317/7159/totalcmdcompare2nd.png (26.1 KB)
I don't think it is necessary to describe... I know that windows font is guilty - not of all symbols width is equal, but normal program must take this into account.
P.S. Perhaps this bug appear not in all systems...

Hello !
• Are they not UNICODE_UTF8 characters ? They are not supported in “Compare by contents”, I groused against that already a long while ago, but there is not any improvement in sight…

At first, where can I choose font for content of such compare???

What's mean "not supported"? It is binary mode...
By the way, in text mode there is check box "Unicode", i.e. UTF16 support.

What's wrong? During compare TC print all characters by default in black color, and after print differences over by default in red color. As you might have paid attention, TC calculates positions for printing these differences not exactly...

The 4-th button is "Font"
BTW, found something, could be bug:
set both panels to the same directory and select some file in the left panel, then select the same file in the other panel and compare them by content. I don't see the file's contents - is it by design?

Hi !
• As so strange as it seems, Unicode-16 is supported in that function, but NOT UTF8 !
- Even in binary mode, there are some alpha characters displayed, and yours look as UTF8…

The problem you see in this screenshot is the following: The font which you use claims to be a fixed character width font, but apparently the character with code 7F is smaller than the other characters! This causes a distortion in the text display.
You can choose a different font via the button labeled "Font".
UTF-8 will be shown as normal text, so only English text can be read.
