Temporarily open file with other program

Post by *Jopie »

How can you have commander opening a file with another program then with the standard program? In windows explorer you can do this by means of the rightmouse submenu choice: open with.

So I do not want to change the standard program connected to the file extension, this should stay as the default program.

Press context menu button, or Shift+F9, or Shift+F10, or make a long right mouse click.
F6, Enter, Tab, F6, Enter, Tab, F6, Enter, Tab... - I like to move IT, move IT!..

Shift+F9 does work this way but isn't a 'official' hotkey. Maybe someday this will be fixed so you'd better stick to shift +F10.
