Integral browser possibility?

Post by *abeber »

Would it be possible to incorporate a web browser into TC in a later release?

I do, but it would be very convenient to have a basic browser facility within TC.

You mean what exactly would be more convenient:
- longer loading time
- need for more resources
- security-related problems & issues
- exceptionally limited interface as for web browser
- a source of bugs, incompatiblites and requests for implementation of whatnot
- something else?

Why on Earth don't you use IE plugin?

X.

This is exactly what Microsoft has done: Integrate everything in Windows. If a function breaks, you must reinstall the system; if something crashes, most likely a reboot will be needed. If you want integration you can use Windows, it is a browser, a mediaplayer, a file manager and has communications capabilities. But all of these components are poorly implemented, unstable and have an overwhelming commercial feel. What's good for everything, is in fact good for nothing.

I don't see the necessity of a browser in a file manager either, sorry. The advantage of Windows is its multi-tasking, therefore it doesn't make sense to put things into one program which don't belong together. With a separate browser like Firefox or Opera, you an still browse the Internet while TC is busy with other things...
