[REQ] option to lock tabstop headers

Post by *deedstyger »

i hate them to reposition when i accidentally click tabstop headers.

i dunno if it s possible but could we have an option to lock their positions?

because of accidental clicks now i have to disable them all. but also now, i dont have the choice of resorting.

does anyone have the same annoying experiences?

As far as I can see, deedstyger meant not tab headers, but tabstops, that allow to sort by name, extension, date and so on.

Unfortunately, not, there is no way to lock them.

You can actually do the resorting by hotkey wich are:

CTRL+F3 Sort by name
CTRL+F4 Sort by extension
CTRL+F5 Sort by date/time
CTRL+F6 Sort by size
CTRL+F7 Unsorted

And you can redefine them if you like some other hotkeys better.

thanks, but that s not the real solver. coz,
1. i dont use the resort function too much. that s why i usually forget which key belongs to sort by name or sort by extension. :)=
2. while using mouse it makes us loose time to focus on keyboard to use a hotkey. if there would be a way of locking tab headers with mouse i could directly click the header to resize, resort, etc. and then lock it, so i would never bother with it again, for some another long time.
3. becoz the tabheaders are hidden u cant easily understand which sorting is used in millisecs. :)= as an alternative, i look at the files extensions and try to see if they are sorted by extension but sometimes it is too complicated, i cant directly understand.

u know, this is a request to just only use tc much quicker and easier.

it s something like locking the taskbar of windows but i have 2k on mine and that damned property is available on only xp+.
