[BUG/REQ] Annoying file panel refresh when copying

Post by *icfu »

When copying huge amounts of (small) files in foreground, it's very annoying to have the source panel permanently refreshed to reflect the already copied files: marked files are unmarked and copy process stops until the panel is loaded with the next marked files.

It would be nice to have the panel updated at the end of the copy process or when pausing, not meanwhile.

When copy process is sent to the background, there are no such problems: all files are unmarked at once.

Why do you want to remove it? I always liked very much that visual effect :!:

Yet I know that it is just a matter of taste (de gustibus.... :wink: )

So, why can't we put it in a WINCMD.INI setting? Something like

UnmarkWhenCopying = 0 / 1 (default 1)

1 = As it is now (and as I like)
0 = As icfu desires

Having that as an option, in case it is not a bug, is obvious for me. No need to mention that. ;)
