Dear Christian, make a present for users. Do this! Please.

Total Commander of my dream. :)
Here.

I know that you don’t like such embellishment, but if you implement this, thousands of TC users will be very grateful to you. The background image will make Total not such dismal.

PS. Sorry for bothersome theme, but many people want to see in TC.
Thanks In Advance.

Please use the Search, you'll see that it is not wished here…

It's as so useful as earplugs to listen to a concert…

As there was never a poll on it, background image showing beautiful blonde, you cannot be sure.
Even some of the power users, appreciating functionality much more than visual styles, might change their minds. :wink:

I didn’t thought that you are so unkind. :’( Background is the one thing that I want in Total. That is why I’m shouting here. Sorry that I trouble you, I won’t do it in the future. Go on, guys. Do not pay attention to me.

Oh! Would you be so pleased to give me a link to this wish!?

It's as so useful as earplugs to listen to a concert…
That is you point of view.
Ever been in the first row of a rock concert?

@Axe1
There are a lot of people who would like to have this feature, at least optional.

[mod]

Sorry for I have too rashly removed the link.

I considered the background picture for too daring, what maybe was wrong.

In agreement with my Co-moderator I restored the link.

I apologize for the inconvenience.

I don't know.... I have some earplugs that have a (virtually) flat response and merely turn everything down equally about 12 dB. Pretty useful--and for movies, too! ;-)

I would much more prefer that Christian used time and money to implement useful features that make me do the tasks in TC faster. Bells and whistles may be cool in some applications, but in TC I think it's a waste of resqources.

And to you, Axe1, how often will you find yourself switch to TC, drool on your keyboard and forget why what you were supposed to do? :wink:

TC has sounds support, but I don’t used it, bcz they makes me nervous. And BG image is that I want. I don’t refute that amenities of interface is the thing of second priority, but as for me they makes work much more pleasant. And what about you?

@Axe1:
I support your wish.

Those who are against smooth background images will also hate the "alternating row colours" in TC 7, I am sure. In fact, some people just don't know that background images can also be very smooth und unobtrusive. When they hear "background image" they are thinking about a clown with a red nose sitting behind their "serious" files.

I would prefer that you would not try to decide what I regard useful and make ME work faster. You will horribly fail anyway. :)

You are wrong. Those colors will help increase readability. At least for me.

Of course they will, but a background image with alternating colours would also increase readability, you see? No difference.
So, some people prefer stripes, some prefer tits. Both styles should be possible.

Icfu, LOL , but I am agree with XPEHOPE3KA and not with you. There is no tits, that could increase readability.
