Sounds like it is a solid archive. Does it work with a non-solid archive?
I can confirm the problem for solid archives - and not existing for non-solid archives.

BTW - there is an error in english.lng - the two strings:

Code: Select all

100=solid
101=Non-solid
should be:

Code: Select all

100=Non-solid
101=Solid
So if you use english.lng (copied to 7zip.lng) the dialog is opposite to the internal English dialog.

there is something wrong with new Total Commander *7.5) builds which constantly hung and kills my TC window when unpacking 7z archives i made earlier since older one works as it supposed to :(

im speaking about wcxArc_7zip_0.6.4.zip from totalcmd.pl..

Have you tried to unpack the same file with TC 7.04a?

Does your MA work in some folders (e.g. root) or it doesn't at all? Maybe your temp path contains non-English characters? Sometimes this may cause troubles.

Here I posted my addon that should work for names with spaces or non-English characters (you may also change %PQ to %PQA in List command in it).

guys, you're hijacking the topic, open Multiarc topic for sake of it, let 7z plugin's one alone..

If the Multiarc/7z will work, then this would answer that question. And not be a hi-jack.
If the mods so wish they can split this off.

Using the Listed 7Zip, config above causes TC to crash:
(Paths modified to: %programfiles%\TotalCMD\TOOLS\MultiArcAddons\7-Zip\...)

Code: Select all

And the other sections of multiarc works, ie for Innopacker etc. Just not 7-zip. I've never gotten 7zip to work with TC. (7zip's GUI et al works fine)

Interestingly, using MVV's posted 7zip config for multiarc, and changing the (9th) line to:
Archiver="%ProgramFiles%\TotalCMD\TOOLS\MultiArcAddons\7-ZIP\7z.exe"

Works perfectly fine.

Ghisler, do you ask that for a particular reason or..?
is it changed something that handle the archives in TC 7.5?

I guess it's a logical response to your statement:
there is something wrong with new Total Commander *7.5) builds

Using wcxArc_7zip_0.6.4.zip in TC 7.5 under Vista 64bit
there are no problems packing and unpacking large archives
with the 7zip plugin.
What parameters do you have configured in the plugin ?

Also you should answer simple questions from Christian if you expect some help.

There were many changes in the plugin functions to support Unicode, but it shouldn't have any negative effect on older, non-Unicode plugins. It cannot be excluded, though, so I'm trying to find out what goes wrong. Since I don't have such problems with 7zip, I need to know first whether it's a 7.50 problem, or if it was there before and is caused by something else.
