Launch the installer. From the first dialogue box do not select the "Update" installation, but select "Install normally".
Answer the next dialogue boxes as appropriate.
That's all.

Just choose "normal install" instead of "update".

I am now the proud user of v8.50! It just had so many little things that add up to increase productivity. I am almost ashamed to admit to liking the "breadcrumb" bar. I believe it's a recent Microsoft construct. It's gonna replace the Folder Tree that I've been missing from Explorer. It will speed up navigating FTP sites when going up several levels.

Then there is the default string upon F2 rename, search box for internal commands, finally complete FTP support.

Thank you Sir for keeping my registration key valid throughout 3 major versions.
