Sorry, the 6.5x (x>=1) versions are mainly bugfix versions, no work has been done on this function yet. It's planned for 7.0, though.

I'm glad to hear that. I hope you will choose the solution with alternating colors, because gridlines would IMHO optically overload the File panel.

I´m looking forward to v7. Hope it will be here soon, with many other usefull functions. However alternating colours could be little bit fallible with filetypes colours... But no everyone uses filetypes colours

I'm afraid, "soon" and "with many other usefull functions" are a little bit contradictory. ;)
But alternating colors will be very useful, I think!

:) Hello !
- I started a discussion in the beta-forum about that.
- The best approach seems to be the possibility to choose either the alternate backgrounds, or the gridlines, or both if wished.
¤ Hoping the Author will consider that issue following these possibilities…

100% ACK as i personally think that alternate backgroundcolors are a optically overload the File panel! :-)

Yes, that would be much better!
Though I doubt that I will use gridlines as I use default rectangle cursor and maybe it will merge with gridlines... But more configurable tool is always better than less configurable one. ;)

I would prefer different background colors for active/inactive panels, I think I won't use background pictures, but agree about the beer ;)
