I've looked for a content plugin to see the JPG-comments.
It would be nice to have it in the EXIF-plugin together with all the other JPG stuff.

There seems to be no solution for my request. So I programmed it myself.
If you want to have it:

Two EXIF content plugins:

http://www.totalcmd.net/plugring/exif2.html
This plugin is a remake of the plugin made by Christian Ghisler.

Yes, these plugins can show EXIF tags like EXIF comment. But they can not show the normal JPG comment (JPG marker FFFE). I asked for this feature because it looks logical to have the normale JPG comment in a plugin for JPG (EXIF) files.
Am I wrong?

You should upload (or at least link) that plugin on totalcmd.net so it gets spread, otherwise one day it will get lost because the thread will die in the forum archive.
You can contact Ergo on ICQ for an account:
http://www.ghisler.ch/board/viewtopic.php?t=10117

Also check this thread:

The latest plugin version 2.0 is based on the exiv2 library Vs. 0.15 and supports editing of the JPG comment via the change attributes dialog of TC 7. The file time will not be updated when editing the JPG comment.

I extended the JPG comment plugin of Udo Ließ to work with EXIF and IPTC metadata. All new fields can be both observed and changed (by the change attributes dialog of TC7).

Added EXIF fields: Artist, Copyright, DocumentName, ImageDescription, Software, UserComment

Added IPTC fields: DateCreated, TimeCreated, Copyright, Caption, Writer, Headline, SpecialInstructions, Subject, Keywords, Category, SuppCategory, Urgency, Byline, BylineTitle, Credit, Source, Contact, EditStatus, FixtureId, ObjectName, LocationName, City, SubLocation, ProvinceState, CountryName, TransmissionReference

Download: wdx-jpg-comment_2.1.1.0.zip (C++ source is included.)

Thanks for update! One of my favorite plugins - now it can be a good replacement to EXIF plugin!

Not sure what is happening but my creation date and time are really weird. They show up as:
date: 61988-235-61952
time: 61952-253-61988

As you notice they are reversed. This picture was taken on 22nd December 2007 at 17:40:35 according to the EXIF info Imagine shows.
