Faster access to Ctrl+F12 filters?

Post by *sdybvik »

What is the fastest way to select a custom filter?

I have to do this now with my limited knowledge:
Ctrl+F12 -> Tab -> <enter text to select an entry or use arrow keys> -> Enter

This should be enough
Ctrl+F12 -> <some kind of shortcut>

Can I set up TC to do this in some way?

Furthermore; is there a way to indicate that a filter is applied?

Prefix your predefined filters with numbers or letters, this way you will have a shortcut, after the Tab. Should be almost as convenient as pressing Alt-letter as shortcut. And there is AutoHotkey, it can help in all those kind of situations.
I switched to Linux, bye and thanks for all the fish!

TC shows his right above the file panel following the active path you see the filter name, like:
c:\temp\>OnlyToday

Thanks. That helped a bit. If I get time for it, I might try exploring AutoHotKey.

I just overlooked the filter text in the active path. Now I just have to learn to look for it. :)
