Hi all
Here is a new version of fileinfo.
first, I included x32 and x64 version of this plug-in in the same zip file but you can install them independently in different or in the same directory.
second, this zip file contains also both version dynamically and statically linked to MFC of fileinfo. if you don't know which installing, try first the dynamically linked version using the auto-install interface. if TC display an error message then you are missing MFC9 DLL so install the statically linked version of this plugin.
Major changes :
- I added a new tab to show Manifest resource if present
- in 'DLL dependency' & 'Imports/Exports' tabs You can now press F3 key to open a new fileinfo window of the highlight DLL
All fixes and changes
- Added : subsystem "IMAGE_SUBSYSTEM_WINDOWS_BOOT_APPLICATION" and "IMAGE_SUBSYSTEM_EFI_ROM"
- Added : new tab for Manifest resource if present
- Added : resource types "RT_HTML", "RT_MANIFEST", "RT_DLGINIT" & "RT_TOOLBAR"
- Added : 's' and 'u' key to sort and undecorate in 'Imports/Exports' tabs
- Added : in 'DLL dependency' & 'Imports/Exports' tabs, the 'F3' key can open a new fileinfo window
- Added : x64 version of unaspack plugun
- Added : Button to edit fileinfo.ini
- Added : in "DLL dependency" tab, path of file is added
- Changed : Address/Size of unused Data directory not displayed
- Fixed : crash with filesize > 4GB
- Fixed : in Imports/Exports tab, impossible to uncheck 'Sort' checkbox
- Fixed : unaspack plugin
- Fixed : wrong service pack detected
- Fixed : missing delay-load DLL was not displayed correctly
Size is 1000 KB

Confirmed - here the addresses are different:
| Code: | | Access violation at address 022CFFB4. Read of address 0000000E |
Win XP 32bit - TC 8.0b17a
| Code: | | Access violation at address 6DA2FFB4. Read of address 0000000E |
Win7 x64 - TC 8.0b17a - 32bit
Under TC 8.0b17a x64, TC freezes and eventually Windows comes up with this:

That's the point. I can open new window for the selected dll by clicking F3 on function key bar, but can't do the same just pressing F3. So it is logical to assume that if it works through the key bar it also should do the same pressing the F3 button |

Please read my post on the previous page. Keyboard key doesn't opens new windows showing the error message instead, but click does. Isn't it strange? If that function is incompatible with TC7.56a it shouldn't work anyway. |

Sorry, I misunderstood you.
I've updated FileInfo and tested it. F3 key works fine in both TC8 and TC7.56a (tested x86 versions), it works even in TC7.50a. OS is Win7x64.
But I still don't understand how can you click F3 button on function key bar - it belongs to TC and can't be used for opening module views from plugin (it can only open focused files in TC panel but not files that are selected in plugin window). _________________ VirtualPanel plugin: Temporary panel for TC (forum)

I have WinXP SP3 (x86 version) and it doesn't work for me I didn't try it with TC8.

Nevertheless I can do it. I just select the desired DLL in tab window and then click F3 key on Fkey bar of TC and new Fileinfo window opens. What do I do wrong? |

Yes, new windows belong to the same selected file. Honestly, I don't understand the purpose of that function. I've just pointed that it doesn't work both way. |

New function of FileInfo allows to open FileInfo for another DLL (that is listed in import/export or dependency window), and it is very convenient in case if you need to view that file's info.
Howerver for mouse users I think it would be useful to have context menu with 'View\tF3' command in import/export or dependency windows of plugin.
Also it would be great to learn FileInfo to do long-standing operations (like initial dumping or scanning for dependencies) in a separate process and do not freeze TC. _________________ VirtualPanel plugin: Temporary panel for TC (forum)
