[Bug] Compare by content & nested archives with dirs
Open the deeper archive in the nested archive in one panel. Enter a directory in it (it's a must to reproduce the bug!).
An example: enter tc655pb2.exe->INSTALL.CAB->WINDOWS
Select any file there (i.e. UC.PIF). Then go to the other panel & select any file there. The other panel should remain active! Now press a key for compare by content command.
I get a window, where there is a hex view of the file from the other panel & there's NO hex view of the file from that nested archive.
Well, if I don't select anything (and both file have the same name), then the hotkey works well - both files are visible in CBC window.
If I make the panel with that dir from the nested archive (with described selection) than again, the hotkey works well & both files are shown in CBC window.

Don't confirm. The very first comparison you described is performed well, without any trouble. TC 6.55pb2, WinXP SP2.

Sorry, the screenies are in Russian, but it shouldn't make misunderstanding.

I looked at your screens - yes, I have absolutely the same "pre-situation", but Compare by Content window shows both files well (I can make screens too, but I don't think it is really needed).
The only difference is the TEMP folder: I have reassigned it into D:\Windows\Temp\ (D: is my system drive).

That can't be the reason - here tc655pb2.exe is on e: and TEMP is on drive F:, and I don't get this problem...
What's the content of your TEMP variable?

It could be the environment variable, or an extremely long path.
Try this please:
1. Create path c:\temp
2. Open a cmd.exe window
3. type the following commands and press enter:
set TEMP=c:\temp
set TMP=c:\temp
4. Run Totalcmd.exe from this cmd box.
-> does it work now?

it doesn't depend on drives.
NOTE: Rapidshare may change extension to html. Change it back to sqx
