Is there a so-called easter egg in Lister ??

Post by *satyr »

Is this what I've discovered an "easter egg" ??

If you select some file and press F3 button an in-built Lister plugin windows opens, and if I click F3 one more time in that external window that pops-up/appears, this small popup window appears (with only an "OK" button) with the word "Not Found: Jordan" written on it ...

The screenshot of that window-prompt:

Um, I don't think so. I think it's showing the last search you did in the lister. When I do it, I get the same window, but instead of "Jordan" it says "hh:mm", which was my last search.

An interesting question though - has Christian put in any easter eggs for us to find?

No, not Christian and not in TC. ;)

If you press F3 in the Lister it calls the search dialog (just as F7 does) or, if there has been a search before it acts like F5 - Search next.

So you have searched some time before for "Jordan", and if you press F3 Lister is searching in the current file for Jordan but gives you the "Not found" message.

:) Hi Roman !

 Are you sure ? Easter Eggs were very in vogue when W¦TC has been created…
- And for which use is that string in the resources?

Code: Select all

61520, "Could not load CARDS.DLL"
- I never saw any card to play any game, though… So… ?

... yes it's true, i.e. I was searching for "Jordan" (country/state) locally on my hard-disk in the "local version" of my site's website.html document. Thanks all for the replies !!

It seems to be some standard Delphi error message which gets in there when using the VCL (visual components library). TC does not use Cards.dll. It would be risky to add a game, even as an easter egg. For example, in Germany all games need to be checked by an organization to get a rating, otherwise the sale is strictly forbidden...
