[Bug] Showing hiding folder tab

The behaviour described in the bug report is either by design, or would be far too complex/time-consuming to be changed

[Bug] Showing hiding folder tab

Post by *Sombra »

1- Open several tabs in a panel.
2- Hide they with the command cm_VisDirTabs (Show/hide folder tab).
3- Close TC
4- Open TC
5- Run the command cm_VisDirTabs for show the tabs.

Now, the tabs aren't showed until TC is restarted.
Tested with TC 7 public beta 2
I can read English, but... I write like Tarzan. (sorry)

They did show on my case... but I lost all my custom locked tabs (didn't have them saved).

I never tested this up until now but I always thought that tabs work even if they are not shown. It seems not.
TC for Linux please!

:) Hello !

• This command doesn't hide the tabs only, it disables the tabs totally…

That's correct, the tabs are disabled completely, that's why they aren't saved on exit.

Sorry, I forgot the line 1b at the initial post.

Now I can understand, why the shortcuts CTRL+TAB & CTRL+SHIFT+TAB didn't work when the tabs were "hidden" (disabled) :)

2Ghisler:
As suggestion: Would have be changed the description in Totalcmd.inc?
cm_VisDirTabs="Disable/reenable folder tabs" instead of "Show/hide folder tabs"
