Now I entered the absolute path and it seems to work for DWG. PDF still makes problems - maybe because there are two different iFilters? But that's not important, for PDF I have another tool.

Yes, with 25% (1 Core of 4) per process. I had some hanging processes with GT.I.F. and still get them with PDF.

I continued with testing; as described above I have two iFilters for PDF.

a) Start with current config:
The program hangs with full load on one CPU-core; no result.

b) renamed the DLL from Tracker-Software:
Exe runs and closes and creates an output file, but it is empty

c) restore the DLL from b), rename the DLL from Acrobat
The program hangs like a)

Seem to be a problem ... :(

Small hint for users which uses iFilter and have problems to configure the Textsearch.ini
(It is clear, of course. But only afterwards ...)

During installation of "iFilters" they are defined/connected/linked with their correspondent file-extensions (for example DWG, DWT).

Textsearch.ini has to consider this. Defining ...

DWG -> searches only DWG, not DWT
DWG and DWT -> searches DWG and DWT
DWG and SV$ -> searches only DWG, not SV$
SV$ -> searches nothing

Hi

one year is gone, and I try to refresh the functionality inside "AutoCAD Drawing - DWG" after changing from

- Win XP to Win 7 x64 (but TC is still x32) and
- from "installed AutoCAD" to "installed IFilter" http://www.ifiltershop.com/dwg-ifilter.html

The problem is: it found nothing ...

More detailled: if I run the CMD

Code: Select all

"d:\Program Files\totalcmd\Plugins\Inhalt_WDX\TextSearch\Conv\IFilter\GetTextIFilter.exe" -s "d:\123.dwg" -d "d:\xx\abc.txt" -l
then the output-file is created, but it is empty. It also reports correctly when I define a [Converter] inside "Textsearch.ini" which does not exist.

In "Windows desktop search" the IFilter works fine.

Who has experience and can help me?

Thanks and best regards

"GetTextIFilter" can only use 32bit filters I guess. I've had some similar problems before.
The Dwf-Filter installer contains both 32 an 64bit versions but I've got not idea if you can install them in parallel and how to point "GetTextIFilter" to the 32bit version.

You can extract them with 7-Zip (standalone).

Hi ZoSTeR

thanks for your reply. But I have some questions:

Where did you get the DWF-Filter from? From "DesignReview"?

"SearchFilterView" from Nirsoft http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/search_filter_view.html displays all existing filters. But how can thois info be helpful?
