What's new?
This is a bugfix version, which mainly fixes bugs found after the release of Total Commander 7.02 final, especially in the ftp upload function.
Version 6.57 is still available in a 16-bit version for Windows 3.1 and a 32-bit version for all who can't or don't want to switch to the new 7.x version.
The most important new features in version 7.02 are:
- FTP over SSL/TLS improvements
- Update Total Commander's environment variables when the system variables are changed (e.g. via Control Panel - System). Works on WinNT-based systems only
- FTP transfers: If transferred file is smaller than expected, re-request file size of remote file with SIZE. If still different, report error (can be turned off).
- F5 - F2 during an FTP connection now adds the files to an already open background transfer manager
- .tab files now also support environment variables
- Alias commands now support additional parameters %A1...%A9
As usual, the update is free for all registered users.
