I don't know if the following can automatic detection,
but it can better compatibility Chinese
Please set your editor's font and the font in LexLib.LXL to Chinese font.
And change the charset to chinese_charset or default_charset.

2.04 is not working well with TC 7.03.
It crashes TC when entering a folder (previously it crashed syn, but TC survived.)

WISH: A feature similar to Lister's 'Search result', 'Lines from top of list:'. Or just smth like selection from Top, Middle, Bottom...

In Quickview (Ctrl+Q) mode? I can confirm this.

Python?

Post by *robinsiebler »

How about syntax highlighting for Python? Or better a tool to convert the syntax highlighting for SynPlus to Syn2 format.

how to speed up syn2?

Post by *versalzen »

another question:

anybody here knows some settings/tweaks (INSIDE syn2) to speed up the syn2 loading and quitting process?

it takes about 0.5 - 1 sec to start (f3) or end (ESC) syn2 in viewer-mode.
thats too slow for me :) so i'd like to turn everything off, what slows down those processes. if i need it, i can turn it on.

If you want speed, use SciLister. It's not great IMO, but works and is fast. That's why I use it.

I think somebody wrote a benchmark post (sorry, I cannot find the thread anymore) and the fastest was hpg_ed.

If anyone can find the thread, please post.
