DirSizeCalc already uses an internal cache. The plugin reads dir contents once and reads data from cache on subsequent call on the same dir. The user has to manually refresh the dir to get updated values.
The cache can be disabled in DirSizeCalc settings.

Ja, jag trodde att det skulle gå fortare att uppdatera kolumnerna till
DirSizeCalc eller om det går att lägga till checksumma i katalogerna.

Translation: Yes, I thought it would be faster updating the columns for DirSizeCalc, wondering whether it is feasible to add the checksums to the directories.

Die wichtigsten Links sollten auf totalcmd.net zeigen.

Die Domäne ist schon seit über einem Jahr nicht mehr auf mich registriert.

Lefteous,
Totalcmd.net points here as the support thread where there is a direct link to download from lefteous.de.

Hi all,

I use Win7 64bit and Total commander (x64 8.0b24). I installed "Dirsizecalc" 2.20 64bit. In configuration - extension WDX TC see it properly.

After that i configure my own columns view

I configure describtion, column width and correct parameter.

But i dont see any data when i switch to "SIZE COLUMN"

I dont understand why.

(Same situation is also with other plugins - EXIF e.t.c)

Edit: I found solution. Problem was, that i used different language in parameter. when i use english or via PLUS button, then working properly

Where is the instructions how to install DirSizeCalc? Why isn't there any instructions how to install it in the big manual delivered together with the add-on?

HOW TO INSTALL IT? It is useless without instruction how to install it!

Installation is the same for all plugins and is handled inside TC. You can find the instructions in TC help, chapther 3l.
In short: Double click the downloaded archive and follow the steps displayed by TC.

Why aren't you just giving the hint in the "instructions file" where to find the installation instructions?

Then it opens with WinRAR and have a directory listing - AND NOTHING HAPPENS ... and then??? sorry, but that's a "no-instruction" ...

Well I think the answer lies in the interaction with plugin archives. The moment you double-click the archive in TC in order to read the documentation the installation process is started.

It didn't think of mentioning double-click the archive inside TC. That was obvious to me - obviously it wasn't for you...

Nothing is obvious ... Wink ...

Just to be honest: I consider it as a MUST to mention in the "read-me" file (that you have under your eyes when opening the archive by your preferred "archive-opener" - here WinRAR) that for installing, you should open the archive through TC.

Usual software installation procedure is: keep out of the software you want to install (or install parts of it) until it is fully installed - and for that first unpack the parts - and then you MUST see any installation instruction telling you that you should NOT use that way, but to go inside TC and open the archive from inside TC - as it makes a BIG difference whether you open the extention "normally" (through normal windows explorer) or from inside TC!
