%N inside virtual panel return Real FineName but both %S %L only returns Path inside the FS plugin !
%Z is a "flag" that allows to have coherent filename listing inside archive.
But no flag exists for virtual panel, could it be possible to have either a %V flag that produce %L %S ... as the sum of %N for all selected files.
It could also be %L! or %S! if the functionality is provided !
This could avoid some file manipulations and better usage of virtual panel ! |

With no luck YES !
But we got from M. Ghisler : I will consider it and i will try....
As the %Z as been corrected recently (8b23) why not asking one more time.
For now i have to use a temporary virtual folder as destination and dump the full list of previously selected files and copied in VP using <export. This is for me a lot of unsatisfying (unusefull) click !
It could also be a nice feature of VP explorer to generate a file list of selected item  |

For virtual panel target names, use %v or %V. The latter is with full path in the real file system.

This is why i put the message in suggestion and not anywhere else. (I'm also very sorry a bunch of time every day when i have to add temporary panel, select file, .. switch panel ...)
The main problem is that is is quite difficult to get what i want as selection is keept inside TC and not transmitted to VP. I also feel that from TC it could be so easy to achieve such %L! %WL!
I'm also very sorry to spoke about %V (i do not use it and did not saw it in the help file Dialog box: Configuration - Change button bar) |
